Higher Education Preparation
- At BISG, the Pearson Edexcel iPrimary programme provides a comprehensive and well-rounded curriculum for students from Year 1 to Year 6. This stage builds the essential foundations of learning and prepares students for the transition into lower secondary education and beyond
- To support clarity within our context, Year 1 is equivalent to KG2, Year 2 corresponds to Grade 1 in the Palestinian National System, Year 3 to Grade 2, continuing accordingly until Year 6, which is equivalent to Grade 5
- The iPrimary programme is designed to nurture students academically, creatively, emotionally, physically, and socially. Covering a wide range of subjects; including English, Mathematics, Science, Computing, and Global Citizenship, it offers a balanced and engaging curriculum that promotes both knowledge acquisition and the development of higher-order thinking skills
Through carefully structured schemes of work, sample units, and a variety of engaging learning resources, the programme encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. Students’ progress is monitored through internally assessed progress tests and externally benchmarked achievement tests, ensuring they not only gain knowledge but also demonstrate mastery and readiness for the next stage.
