The Admissions Department

The Admissions Department oversees the following aspects of your child’s admission: Receipt of application forms, Open morning appointments and school tours, arrangements for admissions assessments, and admission interviews. The School accepts pupils for admission at the key entry points of Foundation Stage, Year 7, Year 10 and Year 12. We do not accept students midway through examination years, notably for entry to Year 11 and Year 13.

BISG places great importance on providing various structured and informal avenues for parents to engage in discussions about their child’s progress and any concerns they may have. These opportunities include Parent Information Evenings at the start of each academic year for every year group, Parent Conferences held throughout the academic year, and the flexibility to schedule appointments with class teachers, subject specialists, the Head of Juniors, and the Principal during regular school hours. Additionally, informal communication between parents, teachers, and the Head of Juniors often takes place when children are picked up at the end of the school day. We also provide regular and official progress reports throughout the school year.

We are delighted that you are considering BISG for your child’s education and we welcome your interest in the School. The application process begins a year in advance of September.

Prospective parents are welcome to visit BISG, but we kindly request that they schedule an appointment during the regular school term and week. This allows parents to witness the school in action and interact with the communication officer, addressing any questions they may have. We encourage parents to contact the school in advance to arrange their visit.
