Academic Pathways at BISG
At BISG, we offer a comprehensive and internationally recognized educational journey that supports students from Early Years through to graduation and university placement. Our academic pathways are designed to provide strong foundations, progressive challenge, and globally respected qualifications, ensuring that every student is prepared to thrive in higher education and beyond.
Early Years Foundation Stage (Ages 3–5)
Our journey begins with the Pearson Edexcel Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), a two-year programme for Nursery and Reception. In a nurturing and stimulating environment, children develop essential early skills in communication, literacy, numeracy, and social interaction. The programme fosters independence, curiosity, and confidence, building a strong foundation for future academic success.
Primary Education (Years 1–6)
Students continue with the Pearson Edexcel iPrimary programme, which delivers a balanced and engaging curriculum across core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, Computing, and Global Citizenship. This stage strengthens academic fundamentals while nurturing creativity, critical thinking, and personal development, preparing students for lower secondary education.
Lower Secondary (Years 7–9)
The Pearson Edexcel iLower Secondary programme builds on primary foundations and serves as a key bridge to high school qualifications. Students engage in a broad, challenging curriculum rooted in the English International framework, developing analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and independent learning skills essential for advanced study.
British Pathway (Years 10–13)
In high school, students may pursue the British pathway through the Pearson Edexcel IGCSE programme (Years 10–11), followed by A-Levels (Years 12–13).
The Ofqual-regulated IGCSE qualification provides international recognition and a solid academic base, while A-Levels offer in-depth subject specialization, preparing students for competitive university admission worldwide.
BISG also supports students seeking equivalency with the Palestinian High School Certificate (Tawjihi) in accordance with Ministry of Education and Higher Education requirements.
American Pathway (Grades 9–12)
Students may alternatively pursue the American High School Diploma (AHSD), accredited by Array Global Services. This rigorous programme requires the completion of 26 credits across core academic and elective subjects, maintaining strong GPA standards.
Students can enhance their academic profile through Advanced Placement (AP) courses, which offer college-level study and may provide university credit. As an official SAT Test Center, BISG supports students in meeting university entrance requirements both locally and internationally. The programme also fulfills Palestinian Ministry equivalency requirements under specified criteria.
Higher Education Preparation
Beyond academic instruction, BISG provides comprehensive university guidance for both British and American pathways. Through personalized advising, workshops, university visits, and application support, students receive expert assistance in selecting institutions, meeting admission requirements, exploring scholarships, and navigating visa procedures.
