Q: What curriculum does the school follow? 
A: We offer two international programs: the American High School Diploma and the Pearson British Curriculum. Both are globally recognized and serve as alternatives to the Palestinian Tawjihi. 

 

Q: What grade levels are offered? 
A: Our school provides education from Kindergarten through Grade 12. 

 

Q: What is the language of instruction? 
A: English is the main language of instruction. Arabic and French are also taught as part of our curriculum. 

 

Admissions 

Q: How do I apply for admission? 
A: Families may complete an application form through our Admissions Office, via our website, by contacting us on social media, or by visiting the school in person. Entrance assessments in English, Math, and Science are required for most grade levels. 

 

Q: Who do I contact for academic concerns? 
A: The Academic Coordinator or the relevant subject teacher should be your first point of contact. 

 

Q: How can I stay updated on school news and events? 
A: Updates are regularly posted on our official website, social media pages, and newsletters. 

Q: WHAT OPPORTUNITIES ARE THERE FOR PARENTS TO DISCUSS PROGRESS, CONCERNS, ETC? 

The Admissions Department will be overseeing the following aspects of your child’s admission:
receipt of application forms, Open Morning appointments and school tours, arrangements for admissions assessments, interviews with the Principal and the relevant Head of School.

Q: What is A Level for international students?

A-Levels (Advanced Level qualifications) are a UK subject-based qualification for students aged 16 and above. They are usually studied over two years, leading to qualifications recognised for entrance to higher education institutes in the UK and many others worldwide.

 

Q:Is the British International School Palestine accredited school?

Yes, the British International School Palestine (BISP) is an accredited educational institution. It has received accreditation from Array Global Services USA. Additionally, BISP offers the qualifications of Pearson and serves as an examination center for Pearson Edexcel for both IGCSE and A-Level programs, with the supervision of the British Council. This accreditation and partnership with recognized organizations demonstrate the school’s commitment to providing high-quality education and internationally recognized qualifications to its students 

Q:HOW IS THE STUDENT ROLL MADE UP?

We are delighted that you are considering BISG for your child’s education and we welcome your interest in the School. The application process begins a year in advance of September

 

Q: WHEN CAN PROSPECTIVE PARENTS VISIT BISG?

A: Prospective parents are welcome to visit BISG, but we kindly request that they schedule an appointment during the regular school term and week. This allows parents to witness the school in action and interact with the communication officer, addressing any questions they may have. We encourage parents to contact the school in advance to arrange their visit.

Q: WHAT COMMUNICATION IS THERE BETWEEN SCHOOL AND HOME?

Annual Parent Information meetings mark the start of each school year. We conduct regular Parent Meetings for personalized discussions regarding academic progress. Throughout the academic year, parents can arrange one-on-one appointments with the relevant teacher, department head, or the school’s head. Parents regularly receive written reports on their child’s performance.
